A&E Network’s 2020 programming lineup kicks off this January with the Engel Entertainment - and Noble Savages-produced Alaska PD and the two hour, 15th anniversary special of The First 48.

Alaska PD brings viewers to America’s last frontier, where chronically shorthanded police departments across the state fight a soaring crime rate with officers from the Lower 48.

In a state where guns are carried as part of everyday life, officers face numerous dangers, not only from those who “want to be free from the rules of society” but also predatory animals and sub-zero conditions.

The series will follow Alaska’s law enforcement in Fairbanks, Kodiak, Kotzebue and Petersburg.

Alaska PD will make its official debut on A&E with its action-packed series premiere at 9 p.m. ET/PT on January 1st. Following the series premiere, new episodes of Alaska PD will air on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Stephanie Angelides, John X. Kim and Steven M. Engel serve as executive producers for Engel Entertainment.

Joe Livecchi serves as an executive producer for Noble Savages. Elaine Frontain Bryant, Amy Savitsky and Peter Tarshis serve as executive producers for A&E Network.
