New Animal Planet show ‘Lone Star Law’ to feature Bexar County game warden

By Tyler White

SAN ANTONIO — A new Animal Planet show is highlighting the work of game wardens across Texas, including one officer based in Bexar County.

The show, “Lone Star Law,” will feature the wardens serving warrants, saving animals and performing other duties associated with the state peace officer job. It premieres at 9 p.m. Central Time on Thursday.

Patrick True, 38, has been working as a game warden for four years and currently serves in the Alamo City. He previously worked for three years as a game warden in Duval County.

When Animal Planet and Engel Entertainment reached out to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department about their show idea highlighting the Texas game wardens, True said he volunteered to participate.

“I think people are going to get a better idea of what we do,” True said in an interview with mySA.com. “I think it’s going to be eye opening for a lot of people.”
