“North Woods Law” Returns for an All-New Season, Sunday, April 26

North Woods Law is back and bigger than ever - with a two-hour season premiere episode to prove it!

Facing merciless landscapes and unpredictable wildlife, the Conservation Officers of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department never know what to expect on any given day. In an all-new season of North Woods Law, Animal Planet continues to document the work and lives of the Conservation Officers who work tirelessly to preserve and protect the natural resources of the Granite State. The series premieres on Sunday April 26 with an action-packed two-hour special from 8:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. North Woods Law will continue each week this season in its regular time period, Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m.

New Hampshire is a premiere outdoors destination, and because of its wild and rugged landscape, the work of its Conservation Officers is diverse and demanding. The Officers are tasked with enforcing all laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the state’s fish, wildlife, recreational vehicles, and marine resources. Search and rescue is a big part of their mission, too.

This season the Conservation Officers must brave the Granite State’s ever-changing elements and forge partnerships to execute intensive searches for outdoor enthusiasts on both land and water. Working to make sure individuals are safe and in compliance with the law, all-new stories include the rescue of a bear from a resident’s home, pursuing a hunter suspected of poaching a wild turkey, ATV enforcement, and the rescue of a juvenile broad-winged hawk with a head injury. Viewers will even experience a charity softball game between the conservation officers of New Hampshire and the wardens of Maine. Fans won’t want to miss an episode of this exciting ninth season.

“We are very pleased with how the last season was received and that Animal Planet continues to be excited about working with us here in New Hampshire,” said Colonel Kevin Jordan, Chief of NH Fish and Game Law Enforcement. “Our constituents seem to only have positive feedback for this real-life look at the work of the state’s Conservation Officers, biologists, and volunteers. And just as we hoped, North Woods Law is serving to help the public understand the complexity of the work the Department and these officers are doing.”

Animal Planet’s social media efforts across Facebook and Twitter via @AnimalPlanet will highlight the storyline from the next upcoming episode and feature updates from conservation officers about how they are dealing with the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Earlier seasons of North Woods Law are available in their entirety on the Animal Planet GO app, which allows Animal Planet audiences to catch up on full episodes of their favorite series and specials anytime, anywhere.
